SHAMAN JOURNEY CIRCLE - A Sacred Journey toward Peace and Enlightenment with Drum Facilitator and Shamanic Guide: Melanie McLean - Fee: $30 Donation

WELCOME: Come join this small intimate group (no more than 10) as we "journey" to spiritual realms of higher consciousness! Recline and rest as my drumbeat transports you to other dimensions where you will encounter Helping Spirits that already surround you! Journeying to a drumbeat is an ancient Shamanic technique used by many indigenous tribes around the world. You will learn this simple and beneficial technique of self-exploration and gain valuable insight from your higher self.

NO PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE is necessary!

Participants may bring a Drum or Rattle (if you have one) and a pen and paper for you to record your "journey." You may want to bring a pillow or mat, as we will be sitting and laying on the floor. Some Yoga mats, bolsters and blankets are provided. You may wish to bring a bandana or eye pillow is to shut out the light. Chairs will also be provided for those who may prefer them. This is a Sacred event and as such we ask that you enter this Sacred Space with Reverence for your fellow man and Creator.

ABOUT ME: I am a natural born Medium (today’s modern term for Shaman), A Spiritual Counselor, a Reiki Master Teacher and Shamanic Healer. I have incorporated Shamanistic techniques within my healing practice for many years. I have studied with the Michael Harner Foundation for Shamanic Studies, and with Celtic Shaman Tom Cowan; I also received private instruction from Joanne Deese of Chingarora, and Mark Red Owl Norman. I have served as a facilitator for Journey circles in Keyport, Freehold, Long Branch and Oceanport, since 2000. I have hosted Drumming Journey workshops at Turkey Swamp Park, Matawan, Freehold and the Pine Barrens. I also presented Drumming as a "Therapeutic Tool for the Treatment of Addictions" during my studies at Brookdale Community College. Academically, I hold degrees in Psychology and Addictions Counseling.
